Born and raised in the US, I grew up mostly in the South Florida area, where I also received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Master’s degree in Counseling in the Marriage and Family Therapy track both from the University of Miami. I have gone on to receive my license in Marriage and Family Therapy from the state of Florida and have provided counseling in various settings, including private practice, (intensive) outpatient, and partial hospitalization programs. Currently, I’m based in Tel-Aviv and see English-speaking clients out of the Clinic at Therapy Tel-Aviv office.

Having a naturally helping/mediating role is what led me to pursue marriage and family therapy as a career, taking my abilities and joy of helping people to the next level. I solidified my decision to specialize in relationship related issues after an undergraduate course on “romantic relationships”. Finding out about this course was an epiphany moment for me, and felt as though it was the perfect sign to direct me on this path. Since then, I have accumulated clinical and research experience in this area, and doing this work has been my passion.

My approach to therapy and counseling has always been rooted in evidence-based practices. However, I believe therapy is both a science and an art. Because of this, I strive to tailor therapy to each couple, individual, or family I see, using techniques and interventions I believe will be the most useful and successful. The process of counseling and what works for each person may not look the same to everyone, so collaboration with my clients is key. I also highly value the therapeutic relationship I have with my clients, and understand this is one of the most important factors in your therapy journey. My style is warm, open, and non-judgmental, but I am not afraid to challenge or confront you when necessary.

Some of the approaches I use include:

  • The Gottman Method Couples Therapy

  • Emotion Focused Therapy

  • DBT

  • CBT

  • Narrative Therapy

  • Solution-Focused Therapy

  • ACT

You might feel like you’re going crazy from all of the reasons that are leading you to therapy in the first place, that you have lost some aspect of control of your life and relationships. A commitment to exploring new ways of being and relating to others, experimenting with different behaviors, and being open to unfamiliar perspectives, are fundamental to getting the results you want in counseling. Taking apart the pieces of your life and relationships is key to putting them back together in a way that finally makes sense to you. Delving into these topics can open yourself up to vulnerability, which often makes the prospect of therapy frightening. Yet, you may find rewarding insight through this process. My focus is to help bridge the gap between the realities of today and your own lived experience to help you achieve authenticity and wholeness in your personal life and relationships.
